Villa Sivakka is a hideaway cabin in Lapland close to Äkäslompolo village. It is a perfect destination for taking time off to enjoy nature. The new 51 sq m main house, completed in 2015, houses up to seven people. The old cabin next to the lake, built in 1978 and renovated in 2017 has a six person wood-heated sauna. Villa Sivakka is best suited for 1-2 couples, a family or a small group of friends.
Next to a lake, close to the mountains
Villa Sivakka is close to some of Finlands most beautiful nature areas. It offers visitors world's cleanest water and air, and serenity that is hard to experience anywhere else. It is a short drive from three major activity centres, Ylläs, Pallas and Levi.
Experience lapland through all seasons
In the wintertime you can enjoy skiing or go for a snowshoe walk on the lake. The northern lights show up above the lake and are easily visible through the large cabin window. In the evening you can heat up the sauna and go for a dip in the lake or snow.

The view out of the panoramic window is great. You are looking north in the direction of the frozen lake. We were able to see northern lights on three out of six days through this window.

WELCOME TO LAPLAND
Villa Sivakka is family-owned and run. Our grandparents first built a cabin at Äkäsjärvi in the 1970s and we have been visiting here ever since. We know the area inside out so feel free to ask us anything.
